Who we are

About Us

Liver & Health Innovation Consortium, Inc. is a fiscally sponsored nonprofit organization that works to improve liver health through education, awareness, and community programs. We help people understand liver disease and how it is connected to other health problems, such as diabetes, heart disease, liver cancer, and health problems related to alcohol use. By sharing clear, easy-to-understand, and science-based information, we work to reduce stigma, encourage prevention and early detection, and support better health for people and communities.

We work with many partners, including community groups, hospitals and clinics, public health agencies, health professionals, educators, and industry. Together, we help spread information about liver health and overall health so more people can learn how to protect and improve their health.

Connecticut Liver Health Day

April 18-20, 2026
various locations in Connecticut

Connecticut Liver Health Day is a statewide initiative designed to increase awareness of liver health, encourage early detection of liver disease, and support individuals in taking an active role in their health. Liver disease is common and includes conditions such as metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), alcohol-related liver disease, and chronic viral hepatitis, many of which can go unnoticed until they are advanced.

The event brings together healthcare professionals, community organizations, policymakers, and the public to emphasize the role of liver health in overall well-being. Through education and shared discussion, Connecticut Liver Health Day highlights the importance of prevention, early screening, and coordinated efforts to improve liver health across the state.

Three Days, Three Audiences, One Mission
